Artak Tovmasyan is the Chairman of the board of the national fund "Sozvezdie". He is responsible for matters relating to the development and support of science and sport.
Artak Tovmasyan was born on the 16 of September, 1966 in Yerevan Armenia. After school, he finished the Polytechnic University with distinction. During this time he worked as a car mechanic in the automobile factory "Eraz" in Yerevan.
In 1990 he graduated from the Yerevan Institute of National Economy. His specialization was “manufacturing and economy of trade".
In1993 he graduated from the University of Marxism-Leninism from the faculty of international relations. He also worked in various commercial organizations and was engaged in enterprise activity.
In 1996-1999 – Post graduate work and received a degree from the Association of Legal Institutes in RF. His thesis was: “Obligations of compensation for damage caused due to shortages of goods, works, and services".
From 1999 - 2003 - Adviser to the chairman of the all-Russian fund "Invalids of Internal Armies". He was also a vice-president of the fund for the development of tennis in Armenia.
From 2002 - Holds a diplomatic post as an honorable consul of the Republic Armenia in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
In 2004 was awarded the “Second Degree” of the Order of Bogdan Khmelnitskiy, by the president of Ukraine.
On the 17 of March, 2005 he was appointed as adviser to the chairman of the executive committee of the CIS. He is married and has a son and a daughter. |
