Andrey Viktorovich Stepurko was born into a working class family on the 6 of July, 1963 in the city of Barnaul.
He graduated from Altayskiy National Medical University in the field of psychology. Today, he is one of the leading experts at the East Medical Center in Altay.
From his childhood he started to go out for such sports as hockey, boxing and martial arts (karate, pankration, and kickboxing).
He has achieved the titles “The master of sports of Russia”, and “Champion of Russia” in pankration.
From 1980 he has been a trainer.
From 1992 - President of the sport-professional club for kickboxing "Stik"
In 1994 - Received the rank of the honorary trainer of the RF.
From 1994 - President of the professional kickboxing Siberian League "Stik"
From 1994 - Senior trainer of kickboxing in the Russian Federation
From 1995 - Head trainer of kickboxing Federation of Russia and the First Vice-President of the FKR.
Under his guidance, The National kickboxing team of the Russia Federation took first place in both European and World championships.
From 2000 - President of the foundation "Sport 3000" which gives assistance to martial arts programs.
Andrey Stepurko devotes time organizing and promoting social work in the field of education in order to make a positive influence on the rising generation. Under his guidance, several large-scale sports celebrations were held in Russia and abroad. Among them were: "Sport for peace", "Champions fight against drugs in the World", as well as the match “The crown of Russian kickboxing", and various martial arts festivals.
He has developed and introduced the "Russian School of Courage". It is a social program for the physical, spiritual and to intellectual development of children and teenagers.
Now Andrey Stepurko is the vice-president of National Fund "Sozvezdie" which supports and develops science, culture, and sports. |
